We are so happy to welcome Benoît Mintiens, founder and creative mind of Ressence. His thoughts are so advanced that he has to come and explain in person.

Benoît has prepared some sets of module to disassembly and reassembly. Please forget the traditional watchmaking, it’s engineering.

Ressence has never stop improving. Given the same model, there is upgrading of movement and construction. After all it’s about how to improve readability.

The new oil-filled TYPE3 EE. The refraction of light as it moves from one substance to another can distort perception. The TYPE 3 cancels this effect through its upper half being flooded with 3.75 ml of oil.

Benoît is drawing to explain the new module applied on the TYPE 8, and later hopefully over other models. That gives a better visual and operation of the watch.

New TYPE 1° M. When Ressence was just started, it sticks to black and blue to play safe. Now Ressence is brave enough to try new colours, even mixing of colours.

Come and find out the extra strong Superluminova on the dial. It’s different on the TYPE 1° as compared to others.

Benoît is overwhelmed by the Ressence watch owners. He said it’s the rare moment that meets over 10 Ressence watches in one session.

Found a TYPE 8 Cobalt Blue. Continuing the tone, Ressence has launched TYPE 8 Sage Green early this year.

Also a TYPE 5 BB diving watch. Look forward to see the novelties next year.

That’s the main plate on the dial side. The time display on Ressence watch is 2D. According to a study, human reads better on 2D than 3D surface. Imagine if the words on paper flows… As if the hands on top of a traditional watch dial.

It’s the bellow system that compensates for the oil’s expansion or contraction. When putting oil to TYPE3 and TYPE5, oil is treated in very low temperature to maximize the density to avoid any gas bubble.

The unique ROCS system. Unlike a typical watch, you open the sapphire of the case back and you work on the movement. For Ressence, the movement is stick to the case back. It acts as a big crown for easier haptic experience. (compare to turn the small crown with two fingers)
