We are glad to be part of the community. Gagà Laboratorio has just been launched since August this summer. They are excited to present the brand to Hong Kong, where is the hub of knowledgeable collectors.
-
Labormatic Cinquanta impresses the public immediately with the tone of colour and form. Inspiration travels equally from the Italian economic boom, where everyday objects transformed into works of art, to roaring America with its chromed “space cars”, Jet Age marvels, and vibrant jukeboxes.
-
Echoing the "Beauty" and "Simplicity" of the 1920s German Bauhaus movement, Labormatic Bauhaus presents a stark and geometrically rigorous design. This focus on essential form results in a design free from unnecessary distractions.
-
Gagà Laboratorio cases feature more sophisticated and refined lugs, often constructed in 7 parts. The overall design emphasizes visual symmetry and balance, with careful attention to proportions and details.
-
“The laboratory is both the artist's studio and the mechanic's workshop.
The latin etymology of "Labor" means not only work, but effort, industriousness, diligence, and enterprise. Combined with an "automatic" heart, time is not measured, it is lived.”, described Mo Coppoletta. -
While trying the authentic Shanghainese cuisine, Ruben shared his passion and story of envisioning Gagà Laboratorio. After 20 years of Gagà Milano, he challenged himself in developing the new brand, elevating to another design and technical height.
-
If you talk to Mo, you will be moved by his great energy and devotion to design. He took inspiration from the 50s and 60s, from Vespa scooter to Smeg refrigerator. Could you spot the similarity?
-
The 4 wedges are made of aluminium, a kind of warm satin finsihing is resulted. More experiments of materials and colours can happen.
-
The small numerals in-between allow the owners to realised the passing through of time in a subtle manner.
-
Both elegant and contemporary, the case and dial are distinctive to reflect Gaga Laboratorio's focus on "the art of time."
-
Gaga Laboratorio is a relatively new independent watch brand that distinguishes itself through strong design language. This style draws on the minimalist and geometric principles of the Bauhaus movement.
-
Both Cinquanta and Bauhaus models feature a prominent central display for minutes, with a distinct hand or indicator.
-
The involvement of renowned tattoo artist Mo Coppoletta as a designer brings a unique artistic perspective to the brand. His creative input contributes to the distinctive aesthetic of Gaga Laboratorio watches.
